What drew you to aviation? I always wanted to fly.

How long have you been involved in aviation education? CFI since 1971.

What’s your favorite part of what you do in aviation education? Seeing the joy in the lives of others that comes from learning to fly.

What’s your least favorite part of what you do in aviation education? I love it all.

Why did you join SAFE? There’s always so much more to learn and do.

What would you like to see change in aviation? A little less salesmanship, a little more airmanship.

Any suggestions on how the above might be accomplished? Emphasize the joy and satisfaction of learning to do something difficult well, whether basic stick ‘n rudder skills or TAA.

Any accomplishments in, or noteworthy contributions to aviation and/or aviation education you’d like to mention? Just trying to spread the joy.

Who are your role models in aviation? My dad, and Scott Crossfield.
